From domestic to international, from e-commerce to cold chain, from 3C electronics to cross-border logistics, Keefam has proved the power of technological innovation with the data of technology and case applications, and Keefam is following the intelligent wave of the global logistics industry.
In 2024, China's express delivery business volume exceeded 170 billion pieces, up 21 per cent year-on-year, and total revenue exceeded RMB 1.4 trillion, up 13 per cent year-on-year. This continuously climbing growth trend reflects further growth in consumer demand for online shopping and express delivery services. This trend not only drove the increase in e-commerce penetration, but also made the sinking market and cross-border logistics a new growth engine.
Meanwhile, the logistics industry is experiencing high-speed development driven by both consumer demand and national policies. Intelligent logistics parks, unmanned distribution scenarios, and the application of automation, AI, IoT and other new technologies are rapidly penetrating into the actual operations of more enterprises. The ‘technology race’ in the industry forces enterprises to face the ‘efficiency and cost’ game of life and death.
On the one hand, facing the high cost of manual sorting, misclassification rate caused by the average annual loss and other pain points; on the other hand, the market appeared in the cold chain under the scene of low-temperature sorting, 3C industry, such as anti-magnetic anti-static new demand, which led to the emergence of intelligent warehousing and sorting systems and other innovative products, in order to cope with the customer's growing cost pressures and the timeliness of the logistics, traceability of the high demand.
Against this backdrop, the technology matrix of Shenzhen Keefam Logistics Equipment Co. Keefam focuses on the research, development, production and sales of modular intelligent sorting equipment and new material gravity self-driven chutes. Since its establishment, Keefam has accumulated more than 120 intellectual property rights and invention patents, and continues to plough into the field of logistics sorting and conveying technology.
In a project in Hangzhou, Keefam introduced the world's first ‘Modular Intelligent Sorting + Gravity Self-Driven Chute’ technical solution based on its rich experience in serving Jingdong, Shunfeng and other leading enterprises. With 99.99% sorting success rate and full life cycle green design, this solution fully meets the market's urgent demand for efficient, intelligent and flexible automatic sorting equipment, and is redefining the efficiency and sustainability standards of intelligent logistics.
Keefam summarises the advantages of its product solutions as ‘three highs and one low’ in terms of the core needs of customers in the field of intelligent sorting:
High precision reduces the error rate and achieves industrial aesthetics. This high precision is mainly embodied in the three aspects of ‘super bubble drag reduction technology’, ‘0.15°/50,000 hours of movement precision’ and ‘intelligent quality inspection system’. Keefam's hydrodynamic optimisation significantly reduces the resistance of all kinds of complex products, making them glide more smoothly and reducing the damage rate by 99%. Moreover, the stabilised steering structure of its products, which has been verified for 50,000 hours, ensures that the balance wheel can steer accurately. In addition, Keefam's integrated self-recognition and AI prediction function enables real-time uploading of sorting anomaly data.
Keefam's intelligent sorting equipment demonstrates its high adaptability, covering a full range from 200mm mobile phones to 1.2m pallets. Its high adaptability is mainly reflected in the following three aspects: ‘Modular Rubik's Cube Design’ - the equipment can be switched in 10 minutes, adapting to goods from 0.2 to 60kg; ‘Conqueror of Extreme Environments’ - the glass fiber reinforced plastic chute can be used in -25℃ and -60℃. -Glass reinforced plastic (FRP) chutes maintain a curved surface accuracy of 0.5 mm at -25°C, and the anti-static coating has an impedance value of up to 10^9 Ω; ‘Industry-specific solutions GMP-compliant chutes have been developed for the pharmaceutical industry, and multilingual sorting modules have been implanted for cross-border e-commerce.
In addition, Keefam has redefined the physical limits of sorting speed with high efficiency. Its product sorting capacity is up to 6,000 pieces/hour, which is 2.5 times more efficient than traditional equipment. For example, in the Qihe project it participated in, the daily handling capacity of a single line was equivalent to replacing the workload of 200 labourers, ‘creating a record of ultra-low energy consumption of 0.2 degrees/hour’. By adopting permanent magnet DC motor + energy dynamic control technology, its carbon emissions have been reduced by 60%; the core components of its products have passed 100,000 hours of durability testing, and the time between failures has been extended by three times, with the ‘iron will’ of 7×24 hours stable operation.
Keefam achieves full life cycle value enhancement through low-cost reconstruction. With the support of its data integration technology, the product achieves the following advantages: CAPEX (investment cost) is reduced by 40%, modular design reduces the initial investment by 30%, and the self-driven chute saves 70% of the equipment investment; OPEX (operation cost) is optimised by 55%, and the maintenance-free design reduces the maintenance cost by 20%, e.g., in the project in Foshan, it saves more than one million yuan in the annual electricity bill for a customer. For example, in the Foshan project, the annual electricity bill savings for a customer exceeded one million RMB. Not only that, Keefam's products also actively contribute to the carbon neutrality goal, it is understood that every 10 metres of chute full life cycle can achieve carbon reduction of 12 tonnes, the research and development has been CE, ROHS, ISO9001 and other international certifications.
Product strength makes Keefam walk more steadily, while innovative technology helps Keefam walk longer. For innovation, Keefam focuses on the following three aspects:
On the one hand, Keefam adopts super wear-resistant composite material and utilises FRP sliding grooves, which are three times stronger than carbon steel, thus reducing the weight of the product by 67%; on the other hand, the friction coefficient is reduced by 40% through the intelligent surface treatment and the Ra2.5 grade polishing process.
Keefam's innovative Multi-curve Variable Resistance Technology, through optimising the curvature design, significantly reduces the cargo loss rate to 99%. Meanwhile, the technology adopts honeycomb matrix structure, which makes the module versatility rate as high as 92%, and can provide more than 100 different combinations of force patterns.
In addition, Keefam's edge computing system is capable of achieving localised processing latency of less than 50 milliseconds and supports offline sorting functions. Meanwhile, the system is equipped with a digital twin platform, which can effectively shorten the project cycle by 40% through 1:1 virtual commissioning.
In the upgrading project of a leading e-commerce company, its South China warehouse faced many challenges: low efficiency of the original manual sorting, high breakage rate of the goods, especially during the promotion period, the misclassification rate was as high as 5%, while the labour cost rose sharply, and the daily operation cost also continued to be at a high level. Aiming at these pain points, Keefam customised the deployment of modular sorter + self-driven chute series solutions for this customer, helping it to achieve full-process automation and accurate and safe sorting. After the implementation of the project, the head of the e-commerce warehouse in South China sorting efficiency significantly increased to 18,000 pieces / hour, the misclassification rate was significantly reduced to 0.3%, manpower costs were reduced by 60%, and the rate of damage to goods was reduced by 99%.
Jiangsu, a 3C electronics industry project, the enterprise has encountered magnetic product sorting process of high loss rate problems, the use of traditional equipment when the loss rate is as high as 5%. To this end, Keefam team put forward a special anti-magnetic anti-subsorption technology solutions, after repeated communication and negotiation, the customer chose the anti-magnetic cross-belt chute. In the end, the customer's loss rate was reduced by 99%, equipment investment cost was reduced by 60%, and annual maintenance cost was saved more than 500,000 RMB.
In addition to the customer cases mentioned above, Keefam has also cooperated with many industry leaders, such as SF, Jingdong, Cainiao, and DHL, to jointly develop industry standards and provide diversified intelligent distribution solutions for customers in different fields. In addition, Keefam has a global outlook and plans to set up R&D and manufacturing centres in the US and Europe by 2027, with the aim of exporting China's technology standards to better meet the local needs of local markets. Looking ahead, Keefam will build a ‘technology + ecology’ dual-wheel drive development model. On the technical side, we are committed to developing humanoid sorting robots to break through the 3-second/piece sorting speed limit; we will actively participate in the revision of national standards and ISO/IEC international standards to promote the development of the industry; on the ecological side, we will carry out the core ESG concepts and achieve a 100,000 tonne carbon reduction in five years through a series of initiatives, as well as researching into the 100% recycling of core materials, so as to contribute to the environmental protection and resource saving. We will contribute to environmental protection and resource saving through a series of initiatives.
From ‘Sorting Equipment Manufacturer’ to ‘Logistics Efficiency Architect’, Keefam has reconstructed the logic of sorting with modular architecture and the laws of physics, while the industry is still debating whether efficiency and cost can be achieved at the same time. The logic of sorting has been reconstructed with modular architecture and the laws of physics. By reducing friction loss to achieve efficient operation, and replacing electric power with gravitational potential energy to achieve green goals. With more than 120 patents, 100,000 hours of test data, and successful cases all over the world, Keefam has proved the vision of the efficiency architect. This is not only a technological triumph, but also an innovative response from China's smart manufacturers to the global logistics equipment industry's demand for both extreme efficiency and a zero-carbon future.
